Frequently asked questions

How do I remove text from a video?+

Upload your video (MP4, MOV, or WebM, up to 100MB and 10 minutes), choose whether to erase subtitles only or all on-screen text, and click Remove. The AI detects the text with high-frame-rate OCR and rebuilds the covered area frame by frame, then gives you a clean video to download.

Can it remove hardcoded (burned-in) subtitles?+

Yes. This tool is built for hardcoded subtitles that are baked into the video pixels — the kind you cannot turn off. It erases them and reconstructs the background so the result looks seamless.

Does it leave a watermark on the result?+

No. The exported video has no added watermark. Output resolution matches your input (videos above 1080p are exported at 1080p).

What kinds of subtitles work best?+

White, horizontally-laid-out subtitles of a normal size, without heavy stylization, erase most cleanly. Vertical text, oversized text, and highly transparent overlays are not well suited to automatic removal.

How much does it cost?+

Billing is by video length — one credit covers 3 seconds, so a 1-minute clip is 20 credits, up to 200 credits for the 10-minute maximum. Credits are refunded automatically if a job fails.
